Russians attacked Okhtyrka with drones: many injured, including children
On the night of August 20, Russian drones attacked the town of Okhtyrka in Sumy Oblast. At least 12 civilians, including two children, were injured in the strike.
This was reported by the Sumy region police.
The impact damaged an apartment building, 13 private homes, an outbuilding, and a garage. Investigation teams, bomb disposal experts, and medics were at the scene.
“The Russian military has once again attacked civilian infrastructure, targeting residential areas. This is yet another example of their blatant disregard for the lives of civilians,” the police said in a statement.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – “violation of the laws and customs of war.”
As a reminder, Russian troops attacked an educational institution in the Synelnyky district of the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones.
