Russians attacked the energy sector: consumers in five regions were left without electricity

Due to Russian attacks, consumers in five regions are left without electricity. These are Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and Kyiv regions.

This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo.

It is noted that emergency and restoration work is currently underway where the security situation allows.

“Electricity consumption is showing a growing trend. Today, September 23, as of 09:30, it was 1.2% higher than at the same time the previous day – on Tuesday. The reason for the changes is cloudy weather in the free regions of Ukraine, which causes low efficiency of household solar power plants and, accordingly, increases the amount of energy consumption from the general network,” the department noted.

In addition, Ukrenergo added that yesterday, September 22, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was at the same level as the maximum of the first day – on Monday, September 21.

“Please consume electricity sparingly. Try not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time between 10:00 and 22:00,” the energy company added.

The application of hourly outage schedules is not currently planned. At the same time, the situation in the power system may change, so consumers are urged to monitor messages on the websites and official social media pages of their distribution system operator.
