Russians attacked the ports of Odessa region

On the night of January 1, Russian occupiers again struck Ukraine’s port infrastructure with drones.

This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.

It is reported that during the night air attack, damage was recorded to facilities in the ports of the Odessa region. There were no casualties.

“In the Izmail port, there is damage to port berths and equipment. In the Odessa port, fragments of enemy drones and a blast wave also damaged port equipment, vehicles, and individual infrastructure facilities,” the report says.

It is noted that specialized services and rescuers are working on the scene, and the elimination of consequences and assessment of damage are ongoing.

“Despite enemy attacks, the ports are operating and Ukraine continues to fulfill its food export obligations and ensure the operation of the logistics infrastructure,” Kuleba added.

We will remind you that the Russian occupiers attacked Kherson, a man was killed as a result of a strike in the Dnipro district , and an elderly woman was injured in a drone attack in her own apartment in the Central district.
