Russians Attacked Ukraine with Drones and Missiles: How Air Defense Worked

On the night of August 12, Russian occupiers attacked Ukrainian territory with attack drones and Iskander-M ballistic missiles. Ukrainian air defense forces eliminated most of the enemy drones.
The Air Force press service reported this.
From 20:00 on Monday, August 11, the enemy attacked with 48 Shahed-type strike UAVs and drone imitators of various types in the directions of Bryansk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, as well as four Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh and Bryansk regions.
Attack drones attacked the Sumy and Donetsk regions, and missiles attacked the Chernihiv region.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00 on Tuesday, August 12, air defense shot down/suppressed 36 enemy Shahed-type UAVs and drone imitators of various types in the north and east of the country.
Hits from 12 UAVs and three missiles were recorded at seven locations.
