Russians attacked Ukrainian Armed Forces positions 216 times in 24 hours, with the hottest attacks occurring in the Pokrovsk direction.

Over the past 24 hours, May 22, 216 combat clashes occurred between Ukrainian defenders and Russian troops on the front. The situation remained most tense in the Pokrovsk sector, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 42 enemy attacks.

This was stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 08:00.

According to military data, the Russian army carried out 83 airstrikes and dropped 264 guided bombs in the past 24 hours. The occupiers also used 9,753 kamikaze drones and launched 3,195 attacks on Ukrainian troop positions and populated areas, including 34 using multiple launch rocket systems.

At the same time, aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit the enemy’s command post, nine personnel concentration areas and one enemy artillery system.

Six combat clashes occurred in the Severo-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions in 24 hours. Russian forces carried out 81 attacks, including one from multiple rocket launchers, and also carried out five airstrikes using 10 guided bombs.

In the South Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units near Ternove, Granovka and Novovasylivka seven times.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled five attacks in the areas of Glushkovka and Novoplatonovka.

In the Liman direction, the occupiers attempted to break through the defenses 12 times near Torskoye, Ozernoye, Drobyshevoye, Dibrova, Yampol and Liman, but were unsuccessful.

In the Slavyansk direction, Ukrainian troops stopped three assaults in the areas of Zakotnoye and Rai-Aleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled two attacks near Nikiforovka and Tikhonovka.

In the Konstantinovka direction, Russian troops carried out 16 attacks in the areas of Konstantinovka, Pleshcheyevka, Ilyinovka, Ivanopolye, Novodmitrovka and Stepanovka.

The largest number of attacks were recorded in the Pokrovsk sector. There, Ukrainian forces stopped 42 enemy assaults near Svobodny, Belitsky, Rodynsky, Aleksandrovka, Shevchenko, Pokrovsk, Grishiny, Toretsky, Dorozhny, Novoaleksandrovka, Udachny, Kucherovy Yar, Novopavlovka, and Novopidgorodny.

In the Hulyai-Polye direction, the occupiers carried out 32 attacks in the areas of Novo Zaporizhzhia, Soglasie, Sladkoe, Staroukrainka, Dobropillya, Gorky, Zheleznodorozhny, Vozdvizhovka, Lenokostiantynivka and Volshebny.

No active military action has been recorded in the Orekhovo area.

In the Dnieper direction, Ukrainian units stopped two enemy attacks near Hola Prystan and Poima.

At the same time, no signs of the formation of offensive groups of Russian troops were detected in the Volyn and Polesie directions.
