Russians began to actively shell the highway near Sloviansk: is there a threat to the city?

Russian occupation forces began to actively shell the Sloviansk-Izyum highway, which leads from the Donetsk region to the Kharkiv region.

This was reported by the spokesman for the Dnipro Regional State Administrative Organization, Oleksiy Belsky.

“The fact that they are attacking a civilian highway is not surprising, because they are not adhering to international humanitarian law,” he stressed.

However, according to him, this does not threaten Sloviansk, because there are five logistical routes near the city that are used to deliver ammunition, food, and water.

Belsky added that it then goes to the East and South for Ukrainian defenders.

As a reminder, the Russian army is trying to bypass Siversk from the direction of Serebryansk Forestry in order to take out Slavyansk with artillery.

As is known, the key goal of the Russians remains unchanged – the enemy seeks to capture the Pokrovsk-Kramatorsk-Slovyansk agglomeration .
