Russians executed Ukrainian prisoners in the Hulyaipil direction: details

In the Hulyaipil direction of Zaporizhia region, Russian servicemen, according to preliminary data, captured Ukrainian defenders and shot them. A pre-trial investigation under the article on war crimes has been launched into the death of the prisoners of war.

This is reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

“In the Hulyaipil direction of the Zaporizhia region, Russian servicemen captured Ukrainian defenders, after which they shot them,” the report said.

Under the procedural leadership of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a war crime that caused the death of people is being investigated. Proceedings were opened under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the crime, the direct perpetrators, as well as the persons who may have given the order to kill Ukrainian prisoners of war.

The investigation is processing materials provided by the Ukrainian military, including intercepted communications between representatives of the Russian armed forces. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
