Russians have reduced activity in the Sumy direction: what is this connected with?

Russian occupation troops have reduced their activity on the front line in the Sumy region.

This was stated by the spokesman for the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, during the telethon.

As he noted, Ukrainian border guards have recorded a significant decrease in the number of attacks by the occupiers in the Khotyn and Yunakiv communities. However, the enemy continues to operate there in small infantry groups.

“The units that are being wiped out on the territory of Ukraine thanks to the courage of our soldiers are being rotated and changed,” Demchenko explained.

The Russians are also withdrawing their troops from Sumy region and transferring them to the southern regions of Ukraine.

At the same time, the number of shellings in the North has not decreased. The enemy continues to attack the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions, and the Russians have also increased the number of drone attacks.

As a reminder, as of 4:00 p.m. on September 4 , four clashes with the enemy took place in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions .
