Russians hit Kyiv with ballistic missiles: two dead, eight injured, there is destruction

Two people were killed and eight others were injured in a nighttime ballistic attack in Kyiv. Debris fell in several areas of the capital, causing destruction and fires.

This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the State Emergency Service.

Initially, Klitschko reported one death and two injured people who were hospitalized.

“One dead and two injured in the capital. Both injured were hospitalized by doctors,” the mayor wrote.

Later, the number of victims increased to two, and the number of injured to five. At about 3:00, Klitschko clarified: “Two dead and 5 injured in the capital. Three wounded were hospitalized by doctors. Two injured are in serious condition.”

Later, six victims were reported, and in the morning the State Emergency Service clarified that their number had increased to eight.

In the Podilskyi district, debris fell on a parking lot near a medical facility. Four cars caught fire, and during the investigation, rescuers found the body of a deceased person. A maternity hospital is located nearby, with windows and part of the facade damaged. The building of a clinical diagnostic center was also damaged.

According to preliminary data, there are no injuries in the maternity hospital itself.

In the Dnipro district, debris fell on the territory of private estates at several addresses. One of the houses was destroyed. At another address, a private house was destroyed, two more neighboring ones were damaged. Rescuers saved one person and found another victim.

In the Darnytsia district, a rocket fragment fell onto the roadway.

Warehouse buildings in Solomyanskyi district were partially destroyed. A fire broke out there, which spread to the basement. Rescuers extinguished the fire, and three victims were hospitalized.

A one-story non-residential building was on fire at another address. The fire was also extinguished.

The night attack on Kyiv took place in several waves. Numerous explosions were heard in the capital, and rocket fragments fell in various areas of the city.
