Russians killed three energy workers in the Donetsk region.
On the morning of February 17, Russian forces launched a drone strike on a vehicle carrying workers at the Slavyansk Thermal Power Plant . The attack killed three people and injured another.
This was announced at a briefing by First Deputy Minister of Energy Artem Nekrasov , and was also reported to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region.
“This morning, a Russian drone attacked a vehicle carrying workers from the Slavyansk Thermal Power Plant. Unfortunately, three of them were killed. This is yet another reminder of how high the cost of light and heat in our homes is,” Nekrasov noted.
The State Emergency Service clarified that the shooting occurred in the town of Nikolaevka in the Kramatorsk district. Rescuers treated the wounded man and transferred him to medics, and also extinguished the car fire.
The service emphasized that Russian troops continue to shell civilians in frontline communities and called on residents to evacuate to safer areas.
As a reminder, on the night of February 17, Russian troops launched a massive air attack on Ukraine, using 29 missiles of various types and 396 attack drones.
