Ukraine came under a massive combined strike overnight, as Russia launched waves of attack drones and missiles from land, air, and sea.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

In total, during the strike, the Air Force’s radio-technical troops detected and tracked 458 aerial attack assets, including:

  • 415 attack UAVs of the Shahed, Geran and other types launched from Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation) and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea); more than 250 of them were Shaheds.

  • 42 cruise/air-launched missiles Kh-101, Kalibr, and Kh-59/69 launched from the Saratov region (Russian Federation) and the Black Sea.

  • 1 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile launched from the Voronezh region (Russian Federation).

The attack was repelled by the aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare forces, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense units shot down or suppressed 413 aerial targets, including:

  • 386 Shahed, Geran, and other types of attack drones;

  • 27 cruise/air-launched missiles (Kh-101, Caliber, Kh-59/69).

Preliminary reports indicate that 16 missiles and 21 attack UAVs hit 17 locations.

At least eight hostile UAVs have crossed the state border of Ukraine in the direction of the Republic of Poland.

Let us recall that on the night of September 10, Russia carried out another combined air attack on Ukrainian territory, using both attack drones and cruise missiles. Several Ukrainian cities came under fire.

As reported, on the night of September 9-10, the situation in Eastern Europe escalated again – Russia launched a massive attack on Ukrainian territory, with a number of enemy drones crossing Poland’s air border. This forced Warsaw to activate its air defense forces and deploy aviation.
