Russians massively shelled Zaporizhia: there are dead and wounded

The head of the Zaporizhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported that on the night of September 22, the Russian army launched massive strikes on Zaporizhia and the region. At least two people were killed and two more were injured as a result of the attack.

The attack on Zaporizhzhia began at around 5 a.m. According to Fedorov, the enemy directed at least five aerial bombs at the city, which hit industrial and civilian infrastructure facilities. Powerful explosions caused a fire in the city, and later repeated explosions were heard in different districts of the region.
According to preliminary data, one woman died on the spot, another person died later. Two injured people are under medical supervision, one of them is in serious condition.
According to the head of the region, at least 15 high-rise buildings and 10 private houses were damaged. The impact also completely destroyed one private residential building – a person may be trapped under the rubble. Municipal workers have already begun to cover the broken windows with OSB boards to protect residents from the cold and precipitation.
In addition to residential buildings, damage was recorded to non-residential premises and infrastructure facilities. Several cars were destroyed and damaged as a result of the shelling.
The State Emergency Service clarified that a separate hit caused a fire in the parking lot – a two-story building and five cars on an area of about 100 square meters caught fire. Rescuers, medics, psychologists and pyrotechnicians are working around the clock at the scene of the strikes.
According to Fedorov, in just 24 hours, Russian troops launched 624 strikes on 15 settlements in the Zaporizhia region. In particular, they carried out 12 air attacks on Zaporizhia and villages in the region, launched over 400 drones, shelled the territory 5 times with multiple launch rocket systems, and over 200 times with artillery.
Rescuers are quickly extinguishing fires, municipal services are inspecting houses and providing first aid to people left homeless. Specialists from district administrations are recording damage for compensation. Social services are helping victims with the most necessary things.
Fedorov emphasized that this attack was yet another confirmation of the terrorist nature of the actions of the Russian army and urged residents of the region not to ignore the alarm signals.
