Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russian army soldiers have used chemical weapons against the Ukrainian Defense Forces about 11,000 times.

This was reported by representatives of the Radiological and Chemical Defense Department of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Support Forces Command, Ukrinform reports .

Currently, more than three thousand appeals from military personnel related to injuries or poisonings of varying severity have been recorded.

“Currently, we have about 11 thousand recorded uses by the enemy of dangerous chemical substances, in particular K-51 tear gas grenades, RGVO and other modified and improvised explosive devices equipped with dangerous chemical substances such as chlorine and ammonia,” said Colonel Artem Vlasyuk, head of the civil defense department of the RCB Protection Department of the Armed Forces Support Forces Command.

According to him, the Russians most often use chemical agents in those areas of the front where it is difficult for them to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He explained that with the help of prohibited weapons, the enemy is “smoking out” Ukrainian defenders from defensive positions, trenches, and dugouts.

It was previously reported that the SBU has documented more than 10,000 chemical attacks by Russians against Ukrainian military personnel since the start of the full-scale war .

Recall that, according to Dutch intelligence services, the Russian military is actively using chemical agents against Ukrainian defenders , in particular, dropping poisonous mixtures from drones to force soldiers out of fortifications.

As reported, the United Kingdom imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation in response to the use of chemical weapons by the Russian occupiers on the front, which is a violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention.
