Russians suffer significant losses in Pokrovsk: command forced to call in reserves

Fierce fighting is taking place in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, as a result of which Russian troops are suffering heavy losses and are forced to bring in reserve forces.

This was reported by the Group of Forces “East”.

The occupiers are trying to enter the center of Pokrovsk in small groups to create an image for the propaganda media.

At the same time, taking advantage of bad weather conditions, the enemy is making attempts to infiltrate the southern part of the city.

“Our defenders are stopping attempts by small enemy groups to advance north. Units of the Airborne Assault Forces, Ground Forces, Marines, assault units, and separate units of the SBU, SBS, SSO, NGU, and GUR are involved in the defense of the city,” the military press service explained.

It is noted that the Russian command set the occupiers the task of capturing Pokrovsk by the end of September. As of November 26, the settlement is not under full enemy control – fighting is ongoing in the city.

In addition, the occupiers are increasing pressure on Myrnograd, making attempts to enter the city. The enemy seeks to cut off logistics between Myrnograd and Pokrovsk.

“The defense forces are increasing their capabilities, using the necessary means to thwart the Russians’ offensive plans. Equipment and personnel are being destroyed,” the group emphasized.

Ukrainian troops are actively working to cut off enemy logistics, which significantly reduces the number of Russian assault operations using armored vehicles. Engineering units have organized protective corridors from nets in areas where this was possible.

At the same time, where land logistics are not possible, the Defense Forces are using heavy drones, ground robotic complexes, or working in foot groups.

As a reminder, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the main tasks of the Ukrainian military in Pokrovsk are to gradually take control of certain areas , support and protect existing logistical routes.

It was previously reported that the situation in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, remains difficult. Russian troops are seeking to create conditions there for a complete encirclement of the city .

As is known, Russian troops are actively strengthening their positions in Pokrovsk and accumulating resources capable of conducting surveillance and striking the entire settlement.

By the way, as of the end of November 2025, there are about 1,250 civilians in Pokrovsk .
