Russians suffered a defeat in Sumy region – Syrsky

Russian troops suffered a defeat in the Sumy direction. Due to the lack of prospects, the occupiers are throwing troops to other sections of the front.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, spoke about this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine .

“In Sumy region, the enemy, one might say, suffered a defeat. Despite the fact that a truly powerful group of the best Russian units was concentrated there – paratroopers, marines and the best motorized rifle units of the ground forces, the enemy has not had any success over the past two months,” he said.

According to the commander-in-chief, the Russians’ last attempt to advance in the Stepnoye and Novokonstantinovka area ended in complete failure.

“The invaders were destroyed, thrown back beyond the state border. And now we continue offensive actions there. And the enemy, realizing the futility of this direction of its actions, is now throwing units from there to other directions, mainly to Zaporizhia,” Syrsky said.

Let us recall that Syrsky previously stated that Russian infidels are planning new offensives in the Pokrovsk and Zaporozhye directions .

In addition, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, admitted that some unit commanders transmitted false reports about the situation at the front to the high command .
