Russians want to create a bridgehead near Siversk: military reveals occupiers’ plans

The situation on the front near the city of Siversk in the Donetsk region is extremely difficult, the Russians are seeking to create a bridgehead in the Slavyansk direction for further advancement.

As of December 22, the situation in Serebryansk remains difficult. Despite this, Ukrainian units are holding their positions and inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupiers.
In addition, the enemy is making attempts to redeploy its troops across the Seversky Donets River from the direction of the Serebryansk forestry.
“In the last 2 days alone, the units of the 81st Marine Division destroyed 2 boats along with their manpower,” the press service said.
As the military noted, the enemy is trying to gain full control over the settlements of Serebryanka and Dronivka, settlements that will serve as a springboard for the accumulation of resources. If they are captured, the Russians will occupy the heights near the settlements of Zakitne and Platonovka.
Earlier, DeepState project analysts reported that in the Slavyansk direction, the enemy managed to occupy the village of Serebryanka .
In turn, the Ukrainian Defense Forces denied reports of the alleged capture of the settlements of Serebryanka and Dronivka by the enemy . According to official information, Ukrainian units are holding positions within these settlements and on the adjacent borders.
