Russians will make the US look weak – Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on Peskov’s statements on ceasefire

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Georgy Tykhyi commented on the statement by Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov that the Russian Federation does not need a ceasefire.

He wrote about this on the social network X.

“US: calls for an immediate end to the killings. Peskov: one-finger salute,” the report said.

At the same time, a foreign policy spokesman stressed that the longer the Russians believe they can avoid consequences by abandoning U.S. peace efforts, the more they will make the United States look weak.

As a reminder, Russia continues to reject Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s proposals for a ceasefire , intensifying air strikes.
