Russia’s massive attack on Kharkiv: 19 wounded, including a child, residential buildings and a hospital damaged
On the night of January 24, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Kharkiv. The strikes injured 19 people, including a child.
This was reported by the mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov , the head of the Kharkiv OVA , Oleg Sinegubov , and the State Emergency Service .
The occupiers used about 25 Shahed-type attack UAVs.
The city’s Industrial District bore the brunt of the attack. Private homes and apartment buildings, a dormitory for displaced persons, a hospital, and a maternity hospital were damaged. A drone strike in the Nemyshlyansky District caused a fire in a private home.
Apartments and balconies in high-rise buildings were ablaze, and a business building also caught fire. Rescuers evacuated five people from the four-story building, including a child.
Igor Terekhov emphasized that the strike was deliberately aimed at residential areas and civilians. The number of casualties had risen to 19 as of this morning.
Also on the night of January 24, Russian troops attacked Kyiv with drones. As of this morning, one person was killed and four were injured.
