Russia’s Night Attack: Air Force Downs 131 Drones

On the night of December 8, Russia launched a massive drone strike on Ukrainian regions, using 149 drones. Defense forces reported the destruction of 131 of them.
The Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
The enemy launched about 90 “shahids”, as well as “Gerbers” and other types of UAVs in seven directions: Bryansk, Orel, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo, as well as the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Chaudy in Crimea.
The attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and mobile fire teams.
As of 9:00 AM, 131 drones have been preliminarily confirmed to have been shot down or suppressed in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine. At the same time, 16 attack UAVs have been hit in 11 locations, and debris has fallen in four more. Several enemy drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
The day before, Russian occupation forces shelled at least five settlements in the Kharkiv region, resulting in deaths and injuries.
Earlier, it was reported that the enemy launched a second massive combined air strike on Ukrainian territory . Fastiv and Kremenchuk were targeted.
