S-300 in Crimea and Buk-M3: General Staff confirms defeat of Russian air defense

On March 8 and the night of March 9, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a series of strikes on air defense systems, command and observation posts, and areas of concentration of Russian troops in the temporarily occupied territories.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian military hit a radar station of the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system in the Spokyny district of the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. A Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system was also hit in the Lymanchuk district of the occupied part of the Luhansk region.
In addition, the Defense Forces struck command and observation posts of Russian units. In particular, they hit the command and observation posts of the Rubicon unit in the Donetsk region, as well as the control points of the invaders in the areas of Zaporizhzhia, Chervonoselyvka and Goholivka in the Zaporizhzhia region and Zachativka in the Donetsk region.
Ukrainian units also struck areas where Russian troops were concentrated. The strikes were recorded in the areas of Rodynske and Poltavka in the Donetsk region, as well as Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region.
The General Staff noted that the results of the strikes and the scale of the enemy’s losses are being clarified.
It was previously reported that units of the Navy and the SSR conducted a successful operation in the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea, attacking a number of enemy targets.
As a reminder, the Defense Forces attacked the long-distance space communication center near Vitynye and the Podleot-K1 radar station (radar) near Vynohradne in Crimea.
