On November 13, Ukrainian intelligence agents detonated an explosion near the settlement of Sosnovka in the Khabarovsk Territory of the Russian Federation, which blocked the movement of a freight train on the Trans-Siberian Railway, a key railway artery in Russia.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR MO), it is through this route that the Russians supply weapons and ammunition, in particular those obtained from North Korea.
“As a result of the special operation, a freight train derailed and the railway track was damaged. The Kremlin’s special services are once again demonstrating their inability to control critical infrastructure facilities,” the GUR noted.
The intelligence officers released an exclusive video of the preparation and conduct of the operation. According to the department, the explosion was carefully planned: a remote-controlled explosive device was placed under the tracks after reconnaissance of the facility, and the device was triggered as the train approached.
Local Russian media reported that on the night of November 14, residents of the Khabarovsk Territory heard a loud rumble for a long time. Currently, Russian authorities are trying to pass off the incident as planned repair work.
This special operation is another blow to the logistics of the Russian army and demonstrates the ability of Ukrainian intelligence to influence key routes of weapons supply to the occupiers.
