Sanctions against Russia may be eased: conditions revealed

Ukraine’s partners hope that a ceasefire will be reached in the coming days before a more structured pause in the war begins.

Italian officials said their government would push for U.S. President Donald Trump to bring Europe into talks with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin over Ukraine.

“He is asking European countries to increase military spending, so we have to participate in these decisions,” the Italian diplomat noted.

In addition, Sky News sources added that during the conversation, Italy will emphasize the need for clear and comprehensive guarantees for Ukraine.

The publication also notes that sanctions will be renewed in the event of any violations.

Earlier , the US Congress stated that senators are ready to support new legislative initiatives on sanctions and tariffs against Russia .
