Saudi oil giant wants to buy Ukrainian drones – media
Saudi oil company Saudi Aramco is negotiating with Ukrainian manufacturers to purchase interceptor drones to protect oil fields from attacks by Iranian drones.
This is reported by The Wall Street Journal.
According to the publication’s sources , the company seeks to purchase Ukrainian drones before the Saudi Arabian government and regional competitors, in particular Qatar.
As noted, Saudi Aramco is already discussing cooperation with Ukrainian companies SkyFall, which produces the P1- SUN interceptor drone , and Wild Hornets, the manufacturer of the Sting drone .
In addition , the Saudi Arabian government is also negotiating with Ukraine regarding the purchase of interceptor drones .
According to the WSJ source , Saudi officials are separately discussing with the Ukrainian company Phantom Defense the possibility of purchasing electronic warfare systems that can jam drone communications .
Interest in Ukrainian technology has increased after the attack on the Berry oil field . According to sources , a drone, allegedly launched from Iran, hit the facility on March 7 .
As previously reported, Ukraine has sent three teams of experts to the Middle East. They will work in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
