SBU conducted a new special operation: three enemy helicopters were destroyed in Crimea

On the night of June 27-28, the Security Service of Ukraine conducted a successful special operation. Attacking the Kirovske military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea, they managed to destroy three helicopters and an anti-aircraft missile and gun system.

This was reported by the press service of the SBU.

It is noted that within the framework of the operation, fire damage was inflicted on the locations of the aviation component, air defense systems, ammunition storage depots, as well as reconnaissance and attack UAVs of the enemy.

According to preliminary information, the Mi-8, Mi-26, and Mi-28 multi-purpose and attack helicopters, as well as the Pantsir-S1 self-propelled anti-aircraft missile system, were destroyed.

In addition, it is known that a secondary detonation occurred at the impact site during the night.

“The occupiers should realize that their expensive military equipment and ammunition are not protected anywhere: neither on the front line, nor in temporarily occupied territories, nor in the deep rear of the enemy,” the SBU concluded.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck aircraft at the Marinovka airfield in the Volgograd region, where Russian fighter jets were stationed.

Recall that in June, the Security Service of Ukraine conducted a unique large-scale operation to destroy enemy bomber aircraft in the deep rear of the Russian Federation.

As is known, four military airfields were hit and 41 enemy strategic bombers were destroyed. Operation “Web”, which was prepared for over a year and a half under the leadership of Vasyl Malyuk, became the largest strike on the Russian aviation fleet since the beginning of the full-scale war.
