The Security Service of Ukraine detained an employee of the Ministry of Culture who was spreading Russian propaganda among colleagues and acquaintances.

This was reported by the press service of the SBU.

During the investigation, it was established that the official, who headed one of the departments of the agency, praised dictator Vladimir Putin, blatantly quoting his public speeches, and justified Russian aggression, including attacks on critical infrastructure.

In addition, she spread fake news about the Defense Forces and spread disinformation about the operational situation at the front.

The SBU initiated a linguistic examination, which confirmed that the official of the Ministry of Culture was engaged in informational and subversive activities in favor of Russia.

During the searches, 4 smartphones, 2 laptops, a hard drive, and other materials containing evidence of the crimes were seized from the suspects.

Investigators of the Security Service have already informed the official of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – she is accused of justifying, recognizing as lawful, denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, and glorifying its participants.

The woman faces up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property.
