On the night of August 4, the special unit of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Central Security Service “A”, launched an attack on the military airfield “Saki” in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The base is a key target for Russian aviation operations in the Black Sea. The attack destroyed an aircraft armament and at least five aircraft. One Su-30SM fighter was completely destroyed, another of the same type was damaged, and three Su-24 bombers were hit.
The estimated cost of one Su-30SM is between 35 and 50 million dollars, so the losses of the occupiers are significant. The SBU states that this special operation is part of a systematic effort to reduce the combat capabilities of Russian forces and a reminder that the invaders will not have a safe place on Ukrainian soil.
Let us recall that on the night of Thursday, July 24, a massive drone attack was recorded in the Krasnodar Region of the Russian Federation. Powerful explosions thundered in Sochi and its Adler district, where an oil depot caught fire as a result of the strike.
As reported, on the night of Wednesday, July 23, Russia’s Rostov region was again hit by drones. According to local residents, a series of explosions thundered in several cities in the region, including Novocherkassk and Taganrog. The attack resulted in fires and disruptions in the operation of critical infrastructure facilities.
