SBU exposes Russian agent in ranks of Ukrainian Marine Corps

The security services exposed a Russian agent who turned out to be the commander of a platoon of unmanned aerial vehicles in one of the marine brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
It is known that the agent transmitted the geolocations of his unit to the Russians for fire adjustment.
He also led the occupiers’ strikes on reserve command posts of adjacent SOU units and their ammunition depots.
Another task of the agent was to search for potential candidates for recruiting new FSB agents.
“He tried to persuade other military units to cooperate with the Russians, which he reported to his supervisor. SBU employees documented the agent’s crimes and took measures in advance to secure locations and personnel of the Defense Forces in the area of FSB agent activity,” the SBU reported.
The SBU military counterintelligence detained the attacker at the location of his unit.
A flash drive containing information that he was supposed to pass on to the FSB was seized from the agent. Two phones were also found, from which the agent had contacted the curator.
The soldier was recruited through his relatives from the temporarily occupied part of the Luhansk region.
SBU investigators charged him with suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – high treason committed under martial law. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed and detained an instructor major from one of the air brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine , who turned out to be an agent of Russian intelligence. The suspect was preparing strikes on Ukrainian airfields where F-16, Mirage 2000 and Su-24 aircraft are based.
