SBU hit Russian Tu-95 in Engels: Zelensky revealed details
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on the downing of a Russian Tu-95MS strategic bomber in the city of Engels, Saratov Region, Russia.
The head of state wrote about this in Telegram.
According to Zelensky, the strike on the plane was carried out by fighters from the SBU’s “Alpha” unit. He emphasized that these are the missile carriers that Russia uses for attacks on Ukraine.
The president also reported on the damage to an oil refinery in the Yaroslavl region of the Russian Federation, which is located approximately 1,000 km from the front line.
Zelensky added that Ukrainian forces have also struck Russian targets in the Black Sea.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian military personnel had struck the Russian oil refinery Slavneft-YANOS in Yaroslavl. After the strike, a fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise.
