SBU strikes one of Russia’s largest oil refineries and FSB ships in Kerch

The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Defense Forces, struck the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery in Russia and FSB Coast Guard ships in temporarily occupied Kerch.

This was reported by the press center of the SBU.

According to the special services, the Slavneft – YANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl, which is one of the five largest refineries in Russia, was hit. The enterprise processes almost 15 million tons of oil per year and supplies the central regions of the Russian Federation with gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, and other petroleum products.

The SBU reported that at least six explosions were heard at the plant after the drone attack. Fires broke out in various parts of the enterprise.

According to preliminary information, four crude oil tanks were damaged, two of which caught fire. The fire also engulfed the ELOU-1 and AVT-3 technological installations.

In addition, Ukrainian drones attacked the port in temporarily occupied Kerch. According to the SBU, two patrol ships of project 10410 “Svitlyak” of the coast guard of the Russian FSB – “Balaklava” and “Kerch” – were damaged.

The special service emphasized that the Defense Forces will continue to strike at military facilities, fuel and energy complex enterprises, and other infrastructure that supports Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Recall that units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck control points, a crossing, and other enemy facilities.
