Kyiv plans to resume scheduled power outage schedules in the near future.

This was announced during a telethon by Kyiv City State Administration spokeswoman Kateryna Pop.

“We are waiting for this day by day. It depends on the titanic work of our power engineers. They are already doing everything they can and working beyond the limits of the possible to restore the city’s power supply,” she emphasized.

A spokeswoman for the Kyiv City State Administration warned that future power outage schedules will be strict. However, there is currently no specific date for their restoration, as current weather conditions are not conducive to the work of power engineers restoring power supply.

In addition, the enemy may again attack life support facilities in Kyiv, which will increase the workload for the involved and local brigades, utility workers, and energy workers, Pop explained.

We remind you that after massive strikes on the energy sector and against the backdrop of frost, power outages in Kyiv remain unstable and difficult to predict .

It is known that Ukraine’s energy system is in difficult conditions due to intensive Russian shelling and the most severe winter in 20 years. In connection with the emergency situation in the energy sector, the Government has identified a set of measures to overcome its consequences .

At the same time , Ukraine cannot cover more than a third of its domestic electricity needs due to damage to the power system. Consumption reached 18 gigawatts the day before, while the system’s capacity is only 11 gigawatts.
