Scholarships for students will increase to 4,000 UAH – government

Students of higher education institutions will receive academic scholarships regardless of the university’s form of ownership .

This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko.

According to her , the government has regulated the payment procedure for students of private higher education institutions who study under a state order.

Starting from September 1 of this year, such students will be awarded academic scholarships of at least 4,000 hryvnias .

As Svyrydenko noted , in 2026 the minimum scholarship will double compared to 2025 .

Funds for these payments are provided for in the budget of the Ministry of Education and Science for 2026 .

According to the Prime Minister, this decision was made after appeals from students.
