A drone attack on an industrial facility in the city of Efremov, Tula Oblast, Russia, was recorded overnight. Local residents reported a series of powerful explosions and a bright glow in the area of the enterprise.

According to Russian media and social media reports, at least ten explosions were heard in the industrial zone. Videos appeared on Telegram channels showing loud detonations and flashes above the factory. Eyewitnesses also wrote that fire departments were heading to the scene of the incident.

On the evening of December 23, Tula Oblast Governor Dmitry Milyaev warned of the threat of drone attacks in the region. Later, at night, he stated that the danger of drone strikes remained.

Later, the head of the region confirmed the fact of a fire and fire on the territory of one of the enterprises. According to him, the fire was localized, there is no open burning at the moment, and there was no information about casualties.

The Efremov Synthetic Rubber Plant is one of the oldest enterprises in the Russian Federation, specializing in the production of synthetic rubber and high-molecular polyisobutylene. In recent years, the plant has experienced financial difficulties, in particular due to reduced demand and changing market conditions.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that 172 drones were allegedly shot down over various regions of the country overnight.

As a reminder, on the night of December 23, unmanned aerial vehicles attacked the Stavrolen petrochemical plant, which is part of the Lukoil group . As a result of the strike, a large-scale fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise, and video from the scene is being published by monitoring channels.

As reported, on the night of December 22, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an oil terminal, an ammunition depot, and facilities related to the launch of Russian army strike drones.
