“Servant” Shevchenko Receives New Suspicion of Treason
People’s Deputy Yevgeny Shevchenko has been exposed in new episodes of high treason.
The SBU press service reported this.
It was established that he acted in the interests of the Russian Federation not only before the start of the full-scale invasion, but also after February 24, 2022. The investigation found that after that, Shevchenko actively spread disinformation consistent with the narratives of Russian propaganda. In his public statements, he called on the Ukrainian military to lay down their arms and tried to discredit the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
An independent examination confirmed that his actions had damaged the defense capability and information security of the state. Based on the collected materials, law enforcement officers announced additional suspicion to the deputy under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – state treason committed under martial law. Yevgeny Shevchenko is currently in custody. If proven guilty, he faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
