Seven people were killed in a Russian strike in Kyiv, including railway workers

On the night of September 1, Russian forces fired a ballistic missile at a railway depot and other facilities in Kyiv. Seven people were killed, six of them Ukrzaliznytsia employees.
This was announced by the head of the company, Oleksandr Pertsovsky.
According to him, the Russians targeted the railway infrastructure. Another company employee was injured and is in the hospital.
Dozens of railway workers managed to hide in shelters during the attack. The depot itself suffered significant damage: one of the workshops was completely destroyed, and work is ongoing nearby due to a fire.
Due to the impact, traffic on two railway lines was temporarily stopped, but was later restored.
Ukrzaliznytsia expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased and noted that they are helping them cope with the loss.
It was previously reported that after the massive Russian attack on the Kyiv region, dead bodies were found on a railway platform near damaged logistics centers. Restoration work was carried out in the Brovary district, and train traffic in the damaged area was temporarily suspended.
