Severe frost and ice: forecasters warn of worsening weather in Ukraine

On Tuesday, January 13, cloudy weather with clearings and a significant drop in temperature are forecast in Ukraine. In some regions, ice, fog, and frosts down to -13° during the day are possible.
This was reported by the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.
According to weather forecasters, no precipitation is expected across the country. Light snow is possible only in the Carpathians and Transcarpathia.
Fog is forecast in some places in the western regions at night and in the morning. Ice will form on the roads in some places.
“No precipitation, only light snow in the Carpathians and Transcarpathia during the day. Fog in places in the western regions at night and in the morning. There is ice on the roads in some places,” the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported.
The wind is expected to be west and southwest at a speed of 5–10 meters per second.
The air temperature at night will be 15–20°C below zero, and during the day 8–13°C below zero.
In the south, southeast of Ukraine and Transcarpathia, temperatures are forecast to be 9–14°C below zero at night, and 3–8°C below zero during the day.
In Crimea, 2–7°C of frost is expected at night, and around 0°C during the day.
No precipitation is forecast in Kyiv and Kyiv region. Ice is possible on the roads in places. In the capital, the temperature at night will be 15–17°C, during the day 10–12°C, in the region 15–20°C at night, during the day 8–13°C.
