The President’s Office has announced a hunt for public activists, the opposition, and military personnel who criticize the current government, involving the State Bureau of Investigation in the persecution, which has already turned into “Bankova’s tame hyena.”
This was stated on the air of “Pryamoy” by Sofia Fedyna, a People’s Deputy from “European Solidarity”.
“European Solidarity demands a reboot of the SBI, because over the past six years this structure has degenerated into a “state bureau of repressions”, a bureau of showdowns, a bureau of persecution. This has nothing to do with upholding the rule of law or the desire to uncover the truth. If this were one specific case of Shabunin, perhaps there would be no need to intervene, but if we look at it in a broader context, we have an absolutely wild situation,” Fedyna noted.
She recalled how the SBI recently “burst into the children and grandchildren of Nina Yuzhanina in a completely fabricated case,” and has also been pursuing Petro Poroshenko and military personnel for six years.
“In essence, this has become such a tame hyena of Bankova, which carries out all commands. I don’t call them dogs, because dogs understand who is good and who is not. And the SBI clearly does not understand where the law is and how to act according to this law, and not serve phone calls or other instructions of “rigs” like Tatarov or others who are in very good relations with the Office of the President,” the people’s representative added.
“It looks like Zelensky is fighting those who are not pleasing to him. And Putin is pleasing to him? And we, citizens of Ukraine, can easily sacrifice our interests. Chernyshov, Tatarov, who else is there, there are a lot of them there – they are all in place. Everything is in order. What is everyone waiting for? That Putin will come and give them new positions?” – the people’s deputy is indignant.
According to her, the current government should declare a moratorium on the persecution of the opposition and the military in order to fight together against the enemy.
“Now Zelensky should come out with a public press conference and say: ‘That’s it, I’m putting a moratorium on the persecution of the opposition, I’m putting a moratorium on the persecution of the military – let’s figure it out after this, after the war is over. Now we’re reining in all the corrupt people, all those with crazy positions, we’re tightening the cash flows for everyone, but we’re sending it all to the army. God forbid someone steals, there will be such showdowns that hell will seem like paradise to you.’ But this is not there. This simply is not there,” emphasized People’s Deputy Sofia Fedyna.
As a reminder, on July 11, the State Bureau of Investigationconducted searches at the home of Vitaliy Shabunin, head of the Anti-Corruption Center . The SBI claims that for a long time he did not appear at his place of duty, received a salary, and used a car intended for the military. Subsequently, SBI officers reported the Ukrainian activist to the police on suspicion of evasion of duty and fraud.
The Anti-Corruption Center commented on the searches, stating that Zelensky is building corrupt authoritarianism during martial law , and the cases against Shabunin are a show of force to demonstrate that the authorities can do anything to anyone in the country, no matter how absurd it may seem. The CPC team suggests that this could have happened because of criticism of the Office of the President and Andriy Yermak personally.
