Sharp warming after frost: what weather to expect at the turn of winter and spring

In the last days of February, frost will significantly intensify in Ukraine, with thermometers dropping to -12°C in some places.
This was reported by the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.
In particular, on February 27, there will be no precipitation in all regions, only in Crimea, light sleet and rain are possible in places.
Fog is expected in most northern regions tomorrow, and ice on the roads, except for the South and Transcarpathia.
A southeasterly wind is also forecast, changing to a southwesterly one, with gusts reaching speeds of 10 m/s.
The air temperature in the last days of winter will range from warm to freezing, depending on the region. So, at night in the Carpathians and eastern regions it will be from -7°C to -12°C, and during the day in the South and West — +4°C…+11°C.
On March 1, temperatures are expected to range from +1°C to -5°C, and in the southern regions and Crimea, the thermometer will be able to rise to a maximum of +13°C.
