Shelling of Kirovohrad region: infrastructure damaged, fires broke out, UZ changed train traffic

On the night of Tuesday, October 14, Russian troops struck the Kirovohrad region, causing damage to critical infrastructure and fires.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service (SES).
The territories of the Dolynska and Novoprazska communities have come under enemy fire. As a result of the shelling, buildings have been destroyed and five settlements have been partially cut off from power. There are no preliminary reports of casualties.
Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire at several facilities. 34 employees of the State Emergency Service and 7 units of equipment, as well as the local fire brigade, were involved in the elimination of the consequences.
The head of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration, Andriy Raykovych, confirmed the fact of another attack on energy and civil infrastructure facilities.
“The enemy continues to destroy critical infrastructure facilities in the region. This time – on the territory of the Dolynska and Novoprazska communities. Preliminary – no victims. There is damage to buildings. Five settlements remain without electricity. Fires have been extinguished at the facilities. All services are working,” his post says.
As of this morning, rescue operations have been completed, and power engineers are working to restore power supply.
As reported by Ukrzaliznytsia, due to the night shelling of the Kirovohrad region, the schedule of suburban trains has been temporarily changed. Some trains will run on updated routes today – without calling at Tymkove station:
- No. 6035/6036 “Pomichna – Dolynska” (instead of “Pomichna – Znamyanka”);
- No. 6041 “Dolynska – Pomichna”;
- No. 6466/6455 “Vysun – Pyatikhatky” (instead of “Tymkove – Pyatikhatky”);
- No. 6487 “Kryvyi Rih – Vysun” (instead of “Kryvyi Rih – Tymkove”);
- No. 6488 “Vysun – Kryvyi Rih” (instead of “Tymkove – Kryvyi Rih”).
In addition, the following suburban trains have been temporarily canceled:
No. 6039 “Dolynska – Tymkove”;
No. 6040 “Tymkove – Dolynska”.
As a reminder, on the evening of Monday, October 13, Kharkiv was subjected to a powerful Russian airstrike . As reported by the city’s mayor, Igor Terekhov, the occupiers attacked the city with guided aerial bombs (GABs). The Russians hit a medical facility.
