Shelling of Sumy: occupiers fired non-stop, numerous fires broke out

The consequences of another Russian shelling of Sumy are stated in a report by the State Emergency Service.

Rescuers noted that the enemy was attacking various locations in the regional center. Both residential buildings and the private and communal sectors were hit. The attack provoked fires, but rescuers managed to extinguish the fire, even despite the threat of repeated air strikes by the Russian Federation.

“Despite the threat of repeated attacks, rescuers managed to eliminate all sources of fire,” the State Emergency Service said in a statement.

According to rescuers, all areas have been surveyed and people have received the necessary assistance. Information about possible injuries is being clarified.

The State Emergency Service also published photos of numerous fires that broke out in Sumy due to Russian shelling.

As a reminder, on September 12, Russian drones attacked the city of Sumy . One person was killed in the strike. The body of a security guard was found under the rubble of a destroyed building.

Also, the Russian army attacked Chernihiv on the afternoon of Thursday, September 25. The Russians used drones to strike critical infrastructure in the city. On the same day , the Russians attacked Nizhyn in the Chernihiv region . In just half an hour, the enemy launched more than a dozen drones into the city, with 14 arrivals recorded. Power outages were recorded in Nizhyn as a result of the attack.
