Ukraine has thwarted another attempt by Russia to legalize grain illegally exported from the temporarily occupied territories.

This was announced by Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko.

According to him, after procedural actions by Ukraine, the Panormitis vessel left Israeli territorial waters and departed for neutral waters.

The prosecutor’s office believes that such behavior may indicate awareness of the risk of seizure of the vessel and cargo within the framework of criminal proceedings.

Based on the materials transferred by the Ukrainian side within the framework of international legal cooperation, the competent authorities of Israel have already begun executing the relevant request.

Kravchenko emphasized that the very fact of the offense has already been recorded at the international level, and the further movement of the vessel, cargo, and the actions of all persons involved will remain the subject of legal action.

He emphasized that the vessel’s entry into neutral waters does not stop criminal proceedings and does not exempt the perpetrators from liability.

Ukraine continues to monitor the movement of Russian vessels and will use all available mechanisms of international legal cooperation to seize property, identify participants in the scheme, and bring them to justice.

It was previously reported that Ukraine turned to Israel through the ship “Panormitis”, which is carrying grain from the temporarily occupied territories.

As a reminder, Ukraine warned Israel about a possible deterioration in relations due to the approach to the Israeli port of a ship carrying Ukrainian grain exported from the occupied territories.
