Shmyhal officially resigned from the post of Prime Minister

Today, July 15, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal wrote a statement of resignation from the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine.

He reported this on his Telegram channel.

“I thank our defenders, both male and female, who are holding the front and protecting Ukraine! Thank you to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky for your trust!” he wrote.

At the same time, Shmigal thanked the entire team for their tireless work for the sake of the state.

By the way, President Volodymyr Zelensky officially confirmed that he offered the current Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal the position of Minister of Defense of Ukraine.

The day before, President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko head the Cabinet of Ministers.

Subsequently, People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported that an official change of government is expected on July 16, within the framework of which Yulia Svyrydenko will be nominated for the post of Prime Minister instead of Denys Shmygal . The changes will affect a number of ministries, including the defense, economic and social blocs.
