Shooting in a Kyiv bar: police have detained the perpetrator of the incident, he faces up to seven years in prison

Law enforcement officers reported suspicions of a 30-year-old resident of Kyiv who committed a shooting in one of the bars in Novopecherske Lypky.

According to the investigation, the incident occurred last weekend on the territory of a private establishment in the Pechersk district of the capital. A verbal altercation broke out between vacationers from two different companies over a girl, which escalated into a scuffle.
During the conflict, one of the men pulled out a weapon and fired several random shots at his opponent. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Investigators from the Pechersk Police Department, with operational support from employees of the Strategic Investigations Department in Kyiv, quickly identified and detained the shooter. He turned out to be a 30-year-old Kyiv resident.
During a search of his residence, police officers seized a traumatic pistol and ammunition used during the incident.
The detainee was informed of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – “Hooliganism committed with the use of weapons.” The sanction of the article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to seven years.
It was previously reported that the police in Kyiv are investigating a shooting that occurred in one of the bars in Novopecherske Lypky after a conflict between patrons.
By the way, in Vinnytsia, police officers detained a man who opened fire near a shopping center . A conflict arose between two local residents, as a result of which one of them wounded the other with a shot from a pistol, previously an air gun.
