Shooting occurred at McDonald’s in Cherkasy: injured person hospitalized

In the very center of Cherkasy, near McDonald’s on Smilyanska Street, an armed incident occurred – an unknown man with a gun entered the premises of the food establishment. Law enforcement officers confirmed the shooting, and special forces, medics, and an investigative and operational group immediately arrived at the scene.

According to preliminary information, the attacker was inside the building. Police quickly evacuated staff and visitors to avoid casualties.

At around 12:20, medics carried the injured man out of the building. His condition is not currently being commented on.

Police have appealed to residents not to approach the scene of the incident, as a special operation is underway. Traffic in the area is partially blocked. They promise to provide details of the incident later.

According to preliminary information, the injured person is the shooter, who likely self-inflicted the wound.
