Shooting occurred in the center of Lutsk during the work of the CCC: what is known

On Tuesday, February 24, in Lutsk, during an awareness-raising event, a man began shooting at servicemen of the CCC and SP.

This was reported by the press service of the Volyn Regional CCC and SP.

“On February 24, 2026, an armed incident occurred in the city of Lutsk during awareness-raising activities – a citizen fired several shots at servicemen of the CCC and SP,” the post says.

Thanks to the quick and coordinated actions of the military personnel, the attacker was promptly neutralized, and the weapon was seized and handed over to the police. None of the military personnel were injured, and the investigation is currently ongoing.

“The Volyn OTCC and SP strongly condemns any manifestations of violence or armed aggression against military personnel during the performance of their official duties. Such actions are unacceptable and are subject to proper legal assessment in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine,” the CCC emphasized.

As a reminder, in the Kyiv region, law enforcement officers detained a 24-year-old football player suspected of attacking a serviceman of the CCK.

As reported, on the night of Wednesday, February 18, an explosion occurred in the premises of the Kolomyia District CCC and SP.
