Shot down captured Ukrainian Armed Forces commander: Russian attack aircraft suspected

A Russian serviceman was charged with murdering a Ukrainian prisoner of war in the Pokrov direction.
This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
According to the investigation, since May 2025, Russian assault units have been actively operating in the Pokrovsky direction, trying to capture the village of Shakhove.
On October 10, a small group of occupiers infiltrated the outskirts of the settlement and captured two Ukrainian servicemen. Among them was a 34-year-old commander of one of the Defense Forces units.
After interrogation, the Russian attack aircraft took the commander to a forest strip, where, according to the prosecutor’s office, he carried out his commander’s order and shot the prisoner of war in the back of the head. The occupiers also shot a second Ukrainian soldier.
Law enforcement officers managed to identify the deceased commander. He turned out to be a 34-year-old native of the Krasnoyarsk Territory of the Russian Federation, a serviceman of the 336th Separate Guards Marine Brigade of the Russian Federation with the call sign “Tai”.
Later, Ukrainian soldiers captured one of the Russian attack aircraft and informed him of suspicion of committing a war crime.
Work is currently underway to identify another Russian serviceman involved in the execution of prisoners.
