Shots fired in response to remarks: a woman was detained in Kyiv for shooting in the courtyard of a residential building

In Kyiv, police reported a 43-year-old woman suspected of opening fire in the courtyard of a residential building and wounding a man. As a result of the incident, a 27-year-old man was hospitalized with injuries to his arm and abdomen.

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

The Svyatoshynskyi Police Department received a report from an ambulance doctor about the hospitalization of a man who was found in an apartment on Akademika Korolev Avenue with gunshot wounds.

According to the investigation, the conflict arose after the man noticed a group of people who were behaving loudly in the courtyard of the apartment building. During the argument, one of the participants took out a gun and fired several shots at the man, after which she left the scene.

Law enforcement officers identified the suspect and detained her in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. During a search of the woman’s residence, a pistol and ammunition were seized and sent for examination.

Investigators informed her of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for hooliganism with the use of weapons.

The day before, in Khmelnytskyi, patrol officers detained a man who opened fire in the middle of the street . The incident occurred on Instytutska Street during patrol.

It was previously reported that law enforcement officers in Kyiv detained a man who opened fire in the Obolonsky district of the capital . The incident occurred on Obolonsky Avenue after a conflict between two men.
