Today, October 15, the 31st meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the “Ramstein” format was held in Brussels. Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that the meeting remains the most important platform for coordinating international military assistance.
Signing of memorandums

“These are concrete steps to repel Russian aggression and build an effective arsenal of democracy,” Shmyhal explained.
In addition, another memorandum was signed – on the North-Baltic Initiative to provide Ukraine with brigade-level training and equipment in Poland. It will help strengthen Ukraine’s defense potential.
New support initiative
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced the launch of a new initiative for military support to Ukraine, the goal of which is to increase combat capabilities and extend the service life of land systems that Kyiv received from partners.
He emphasized that large combat systems, in particular tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, need to be updated, and the Ukrainian defense industry will be involved in this process.
Appeal to partners
Also, according to the head of the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian team has asked international partners for interceptor missiles to protect the population and infrastructure.
“We paid special attention to Ukraine’s needs in air defense. We asked our partners to provide a winter air defense package,” Shmyhal added.

As is known, Germany will allocate 400 million euros for the production of Ukrainian drones , with the help of which Kyiv can strike targets in the Russian rear.
