Since the beginning of the day, 100 combat contacts have occurred on the front, the most intense being in the Pokrovsky direction.

Since the start of July 17, Russian troops have attacked Ukrainian defense positions 100 times. The greatest activity by the occupying forces has been recorded in the Pokrovsk sector.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this as of 16:00.

The Russian army continues to shell border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. The villages of Korenok, Volfin, Bachevsk, Sopich, Bunyakino, Gorki, Bessalivka, Pustogorod, Senkivka, and Mikhalchina Sloboda have come under fire. Areas of Svobodnaya Sloboda and Sumy have also been hit by airstrikes.

No offensive attempts were recorded in the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, but the enemy carried out 24 attacks on Ukrainian troop positions and settlements, including one using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the South Slobozhansky direction, the occupiers launched ten attacks near Kazachya Lopan, Liman, Izbitskoye, and Sinelnykove. Two clashes are ongoing.

In the Liman direction, the enemy carried out 13 assaults in the areas of Novoselovka, Drobyshevo, Liman, Ozerny and Yampol, four battles are still ongoing.

In the Slavyansk direction, Russian forces have attempted to advance 19 times near Krivaya Luka, Zakotne, Rai-Aleksandrovka, and Reznikovka. One clash is ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled five attacks in the areas of Malinovka and Nikiforovka.

In the Konstantinovka direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defenses eight times near Konstantinovka, Ivanopol, Ilyinovka and Rusiny Yar.

The largest number of attacks was recorded in the Pokrovsk sector: 23 assault attempts in the areas of Sofiyivka, Toretskoye, Belitskoye, Novy Donbas, Belozerskoye, Shevchenko, Grishinoye, Mirny, Vasilyevka, Sergeyevka, Udachny, and Molodetskoye. One clash is ongoing.

In the Aleksandrivske direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled one attack near Berezove.

In the Hulyai-Polye area, the occupiers attacked Defense Force positions 17 times in the areas of Tsvetnoye, Gorky, Lenokostiantynivka, Vozdvizhovka, and Volshebny. Four clashes are ongoing.
