Since the start of Tuesday, January 6, 99 combat clashes have been recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front, 27 of which were in the Pokrovsk sector. There, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have already stopped 22 enemy attacks.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this as of 16:00.
In the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 52 shelling attacks.
In the South Slobozhansky direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven Russian attacks, and two more clashes are ongoing.
No hostile offensive actions were recorded in the Kupyansk direction during the day.
In the Liman direction, occupation forces attacked six times near Mirny, Zarechny and in the directions of Drobyshevo and Stavka.
In the Slavyansk direction, the Defense Forces are repelling two enemy attacks.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops attempted to advance forward three times in the areas of Vasyukovka and Vremenny Yar.
In the Konstantinovka direction, Ukrainian soldiers stopped 12 enemy offensive actions in the areas of Aleksandro-Shultino, Pleshcheyevka, Kleban-Byk, as well as in the directions of Stepanovka, Ivanopol, Mykolaypol and Sofiyivka.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the occupiers made 27 attempts to push back Ukrainian units, most of which have already been repelled.
In the Aleksandrovsky direction, the enemy attacked six times in the areas of Aleksandrograd, Verbovoye, Sladkoye, Soglasie and in the direction of Alekseyevka and Ivanovka.
In the Hulyai-Polye direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 23 Russian attacks, with another 13 combat encounters ongoing.
The enemy has not yet been identified in the Orekhovsky and Dnieper directions of offensive operations.
