As of the end of 2025, the Russian military had executed 337 Ukrainian prisoners of war.
This was reported by the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine , Dmytro Lubinets .
According to him, according to United Nations data, more than 95% of Ukrainian prisoners of war are subjected to systematic torture. The Ombudsman emphasized that such actions bear the hallmarks of a deliberate policy.
“Russia has turned torture into state policy and is using it as a weapon,” Lubinets said.
He called on the international community to increase pressure on Russia, ensure full documentation of each crime, and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
Earlier, it was reported that Denis Holub, a Ukrainian prisoner of war and fighter in the Azov Regiment, was sentenced to 20 years in a maximum-security penal colony.
As a reminder, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General, Ruslan Kravchenko, announced that the court sentenced a Russian soldier involved in the execution of members of the Defense Forces.
